I painted this during the Olympics as I was so captivated by the athletes skill and sheer beauty of their movements in achieving their personal goals.

This picture was inspired by Newtons balls, which has become a bit of a business man's desk toy. This toy originally was made of equal sizedmetallic balls suspended on equal lengths of wire, and by allowing an end ball to strike the pack the opposite end ball flew off. There is some physics involved...
